Such a lady is Lilbit
Demanding attention is not her habit
She patiently waits a bit
Then by your side she’ll sit
And gently ask for it
She’d love to be a perfect fit
Won’t you please adopt a lady like Lilbit?

Lilbit and her brother Whiskey, along with their mom and two other siblings, were rescued from the animal control center when they were barely 24 hours old in March of 2006.

Like Lancelot, Lilbit is puzzled as to why more people don’t adopt black cats.

Lil Bit is very much the gentle lady – we actually say she’s the wall flower cat of the foster group we have because she doesn’t like to compete for attention – she will patiently wait until all the other cats go their own way then she will crawl into your lap for attention and make very gentle biscuits with her paws.

Lurking beneath that lady-like interior, however, is a little demon that goes berserk when a pet laser light toy comes to life! She is usually the next one in line after her foster brother Bandit to go after the little red moving dot, and she’s been known to swat at Bandit when the red dot comes towards her, like she’s saying “You had your chance, back off, its now MINE!”

We’d love for somebody to look past LilBit’s color and see her for the gentle black beauty she is, and appreciate her quiet dignity. Won’t you consider adopting Lil Bit and give her the loving home she deserves?
